I love this article. But I wonder what the right level of dopamine is and why getting more and more from natural sources is a bad thing. I get a dopamine rush from seeing the moss growing on branches in the wet winter. I would get a dopamine rush if the snow fell in Portland Oregon. I get a rush when I think about a new wine (being a Sommelier). I agree that dopamine from a digital world is not as satisfying, but in general, dopamine is just fine to have. Keep it coming, I say - but be thoughtful about where it's coming from. https://open.substack.com/pub/michaelperman/p/cest-what-exploring-the-connection?r=ym81w&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=true
